Disorder of Speech Consistency in Patients Suffering from Paranoid Schizophrenia

Abstract

The author of the article presents the image of schizophatic speech with particular emphasis on consistency disorders. He states that loss of consistency in schizophrenia is its axial symptom and it indicates on the progressive process of language disorganization in the disease.
From the beginning of constructing the reflection on schizophrenia, disorders of consistency have been, and currently they are the object of researchers analysis of language disorders in schizophrenia.
The picture of the consistency disorder of utterance in schizophrenia is specific and different from that observed in others disorders related to the disintegration of competences, such as aphasia, pragnosia or dementia. It takes place mainly at the level of semantics and it leaves the grammatical structureof utterance relatively preserved.
