The article presents rarely mentioned connections between emotional and linguistic development. A review of research on the emotional development of children with idiopathic/simple delayed speech development (SLI, DLD) was conducted. A relationship has been demonstrated between attachment, orphan disease and speech development. A negative impact on the child’s language and communication development was revealed by an overprotective, fearful, narcissistic, aggressive and taciturn mother.
